About Nag Champa Rope Incense:
A traditional form of incense in Tibet and Nepal, which is formed from incense powder blended and bound to rice paper which is then rolled and braided. Nag Champa is a scent long used for peace of mind, home and meditation practices.
Nag Champa Rope Incense, with it's magical powdery floral fragrance, the Champa flower is the spiritual scent of India. Its resinous tones of bold earthy notes with a heavenly sweet warmth is the unmistakable keynote of classic Nag Champa incense.
It is actually a blend of sandalwood with floral scents that include the champa flower, ylang ylang, and others. Traditional nag champa formulations also rely on resin from the halmaddi tree (Ailanthus, or tree of heaven). It creates a soothing, relaxing mood.

In the rope form of incense, powder is rolled into paper, and then the whole thing is twisted up to make a flexible rope, about three - four inches long. Comes in limited scents, but this form of incense stays fresh a long time, and is easy to take along during travel. You can set it in sand or hang it to burn. Traditionally, it was hung in temples to fill them with a heavenly scent.
